Rob’s mission at Originate Labs is to drive the vision, execution, and core values of the company from an out-of-the box perspective. As both a software engineer and entrepreneur, Rob stands by the principal that the most important element for success in any venture is finding smart, self-driven talent and trusting them to succeed. Rob has assembled some of the most elite talent in his previous ventures, and Originate Labs is no exception.
Prior to Originate Labs, Rob co-founded Lumitrend, Inc., a mobile software developer and publisher. Lumitrend developed a mobile content management application that wirelessly synchronizes contacts, photos, music and videos between feature phones and an online data-store. Lumitrend was acquired by Asurion Insurance Services in 2006 and has since deployed the technology on the AT&T, US Cellular, ALLTEL and Roger’s carrier networks. Rob subsequently served as Director of Products at Asurion for a period after the acquisition to ensure a smooth transition of the technology and team.
Prior to Lumitrend, Rob worked for IBM, Slam Dunk Networks, and founded the technology consulting firm Meadows Consulting. Meadows Consulting provides high powered software development services to companies such as Qualcomm, Amadeus, and Amazon and continues to operate today with a select client base and a focus on mobile technologies.
Currently, Rob serves on the board of various companies including Originate Labs, Originate Resources and Thrive Apparel.
